Conviction Expunged!

Cliff Bidlingmaier was successful in having a 30 year old conviction expunged from his client’s record.  Cliff’s client had a conviction that was on his record expunged by demonstrating to the Court that compelling circumstances existed that necessitated the expungement.  In proving compelling circumstances Cliff was able to establish the exemplary character of his client post-conviction.

When an expungement is granted in New Jersey, the Expungement Statute provides that (N.J.S.A. 2C:52-27), in the vast majority of situations the effect of expungement “[u]nless otherwise provided by law, if an order of expungement is granted, the arrest, conviction and any proceedings related thereto shall be deemed not to have occurred, and the petitioner may answer any questions relating to their occurrence accordingly,” except in some situations.

If you have been charged with a crime and are seeking an expungement contact Bidlingmaier & Bidlingmaier for your consultation.
